Greentree, Microsoft) back us up with best support possible and
resolve any software requests effectively. |
|
Deliver support services locally to the many clients that have offices throughout Australia and New Zealand |
|
Attract excellent resources that will allow us to focus on our

Sage Accpac – proving to be a market leader – yet again
In a recent review of Sage Accpac, Sage Accpac 500 ERP
(enterprise resource planning) proved yet again to be
one of the most powerful members of Sage Software’s
mid-market business management systems portfolio. The
system includes a full suite of modules including core
accounting, distribution, project accounting, and a
number of enhancements called “Accpac Options.” It also
provides tight integration with a number of other
business management systems — including CRM (customer
relationship management), HR (human resources),
e-commerce, WMS (warehouse management system), EDI
(electronic data interchange) and POS (point-of-sale) —
to form a complete “end-to-end” solution for a
medium-sized business or small enterprise.

Version 5.4 was released earlier this year and
introduced a cornucopia of new features (267 by Sage’s
count) across the various modules. Some of the more
notable enhancements include multilevel bills of
material, customer refunds, credit checking, more
extensive drilldown across the various modules, and the
addition of an RMA (return merchandise authorization)
module that was developed by our own team in the Sydney
office.

Microsoft Dynamics: New and improved features and
benefits
Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 includes a number of new and
improved features and benefits:
Application Integration Framework.
Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 includes the Application
Integration Framework (AIF), which lets organisations extend
the solution by easily inserting business logic from other
vendors’ applications with no dependencies created within
the core solution. In addition, AIF acts as a web services
toolbox by exposing all the application components and gives
developers a head start by publishing an extensive set of
web services for core business processes such as receiving
and fulfilling orders.
Additional supply chain and service management
functionality.
Microsoft Dynamics AX allows users to create a seamless path
from initial trading partner compliance to a radio frequency
identification (RFID)-enabled supply chain. Improved
supply-chain management functionality allows users to
facilitate inter-company trading and controls, enable
subcontracting, provide better shop-floor control, and
improve bill of materials calculations. New service
management capabilities enable servicing of complex machines
and equipment on a periodic or call-initiated basis. For
many businesses, Microsoft Dynamics AX is a complete
out-of-the-box business management solution.
For more information on recent product release please
contact you local Enabling branch, or attend one of the
upcoming information sessions, as listed below.

Sumitomo Electrical Wiring Systems (SEWS) Australia
SEWS were in the process of developing a solution with a company in
India that would develop from scratch a tracking system for their
warehouse management requirements.
However,
Enabling were able to demonstrate that the Sage ERP applications,
along with the incorporation of SEWS’s process and business rules,
provided a full warehouse management solution that, for the very
first time throughout the SEWS group worldwide, was able to track
individual parts (serialised tracking) in order to fully satisfy the
automotive industry QA requirements.
To highlight the flexibility of this solution, Toyota recently
issued a directive that all suppliers would need to label all
deliveries with a specific automotive industry ID and this was an
extremely manual task. Enabling were able to satisfy Toyota that our
client, via Sage ERP, could producer the exact ID on all deliveries
without the need for the manual labeling system.
SEWS Australia Pty Ltd is an affiliate of Sumitomo
Electric Industries and Sumitomo Wiring Systems and is a supplier of
Electric Distribution Systems (EDS) to the Australian automotive
industry. Established in 1999 SEWS Australia Pty Ltd, as part of the
global Sumitomo group of companies, is a local customer service,
technical support and product delivery centre to their customers.
SEWS Australia Pty Ltd is focused on supplying our customers with
first class products, first class service and technical support, and
worlds best practice for the supply of our products.

Enabling launch and staff celebration –
Melbourne, 1st February 2007 Melbourne was proud to lead the rest of the
Enabling group in celebrating the launch of the new organization
on the 1st of February. Darren Smith (Team Leader - Melbourne),
was happy to be the drinks boy for the local team, who made
themselves comfortable at the Belgian Beer Garden in St Kilda on
a fine Melbourne evening.
Enabling planning session – Akaroa, New Zealand 23rd –
26th of February Over the last weekend in February the Enabling
executive team escaped to the harbourside town of Akaroa
for the inaugural Enabling Indaba. The four day session was designed
to further align our internal methods and practices to ensure we are
providing the best service and support across all of our Australian
and New Zealand branches. The weekend was a great success, and we
look forward to sharing the results and ideas from our time away
with you over the coming months.
We are holding a number of End User Information
Sessions over the coming 2 months – so keep a look out for dates and
further details.

ACUI Expo – Brisbane, 26th – 28th February
The 2007 ACUI expo and convention marked the
first time Enabling has exhibited on a national scale. With
over 500 of Australia and New Zealand’s credit union representatives
attending the event it was a fitting occasion that Enabling was able
to showcase and present the new unified business. As expected
everyone from each office helped contribute some of their time and
effort to ensure that Enabling’s first ACUI expo was a successful
one.
With each office being
previously restricted to attending only localised events, the
national ACUI expo presence signified how much stronger and
effective Enabling has become. Of
course the event wasn’t all business with the highlights of the
event including the Enabling staff being photographed with Bronco
and NRL premiership winner Karmichael Hunt.
